A neon light illustrates the entrance to the airport. Gate. Flight attendants routinely provide information, hand out safety instructions and drinks. Travelers, trapped in space with strangers, clashing emotionally with one another. Gate. For a moment, everyone is in the same state before they swirl apart like dust. In this no-man's land, where time is stretched, the performers embark on their individual journeys.
What does it mean to be thirty today and to be looking for love? How can we talk about love? What and how many forms of love are possible today? What role does love play in our lives? A fragmented generation halfway between traditional ideas and still undefined alternatives. While everyone strives for freedom, the individual remains alone with his/her vulnerability.
With L'AMORE IST NICHT UNE CHOSE FOR EVERYBODY (LOVING KILLS) Collettivo Treppenwitz will be appearing on stage in Lucerne for the first time. But they are not unknown. During their research on the topic of love, they also stopped in Lucerne and interviewed the residents about it. The results were artistically processed in the performance and will be shown on the two evenings.
Collettivo Treppenwitz was founded by three young artists from the Swiss and Italian cultural scene in March 2018. Since then, the collective has been active at a regional, national and international level. The performances take place in Italian, German, French and English and are supplemented by subtitles in the respective national language.
